Nazier Balmer and two other individuals were dressed in all black and carrying long guns when they robbed at least five people at gunpoint on the 300 block of Main Street at 1:55 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, Paterson Police Officer In Charge Isa Abbassi said.
Balmer and the two other men took cash, jewelry, phones, and a key fob from the victims and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.
"As soon as the crime took place, members of the PPD got to work identifying and locating the suspects," Abbassi said.
Balmer was identified as one of the suspects and arrested Wednesday night, Sept. 25, police said. The remaining two have been identified by police, who are actively searching for them.
Balmer was charged with two counts of conspiracy to commit robbery, two counts of accomplice liability, both first-degree crimes, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, a second-degree crime, and unlawful possession of a weapon, a third-degree crime.
